District Tuition are fabulous tutors. Their approach is unique, fun and engaging. My daughter looks forward to her lessons and is growing in confidence because of Desmond's positive teaching style. He has a very friendly and upbeat personality and is great at building children up, helping them to fulfil their potential. He is exactly what I was looking for and I couldn't be happier with my choice. Keep up the good work. 👍 5 stars from the Rourke's 😊

Frequently asked questions
What subjects and ages does District Tuition cover?
District Tuition offers tuition in Maths, English, Guitar and Computer Science at any level. From Primary to GCSE to A-Level and beyond, we have a huge range of tutors that are experienced and specialised at each level in each subject. We’re sure you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for.
How much does tuition cost?
Lessons with our tutors will vary in price depending on the level of study, the subject selected, and the tutor's experience. You'll pay per hour for your lessons, or you can get 10% off if you book 10 lessons.
Generally, sessions cost between £25 and £35 per hour. The best way to get a feel for the price of the tuition you're looking for is by performing a search for your subject.
Do you provide a discount for the first lesson?
Yes, we offer 20% off your first lesson. We know that everyone is different, and we understand how important it is to find the right tutor for you! Sometimes you know (y'know?), but sometimes you might need to get to know a tutor a little before you’re ready to book some lessons.
In that case, we offer 20% off your first lesson before booking regular lessons together. This allows you to meet your tutor and get to know them and their teaching styles better, discuss your learning goals, and create a plan of action for future lessons.
After the first lesson, if you’d like to continue, we recommend you book in advance in sets of 10 lessons to get a 10% discount.
What if I don't love my first lesson?
Don’t click with your tutor? Don’t panic! We’ll help match you with a new one and even still give you a discount for your first lesson with them.
What do I need to bring?
Just YOU and your studying materials like a pen, notebooks or guitar if you study guitar) is perfectly fine and enough to get started learning today!
How many years of guitar tuition is needed?
It's hard to say and its different for every individual, some students continue with lessons for years because they are hungry to learn more and enjoy coming, however in experience for the average person, if you are starting from scratch to get to a confident point I would say anything from 6 months to a year and a half.
